Submission Preparation Checklist
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

A material description is a longer and more developed description of a material of service design. Apart from the descriptive parts, there will be a need to reflect on the material and relate it to existing examples and literature, as well as to other materials. These aspects will be handled in the reviewing process, and through the template for submissions

Suggestions for materials, general policy
A suggestion for a material, is a way of posing the question "could this be a material of service design". It is a short and succinct suggestion of a material of service design. There is a main descriptive part, and a reflective part. There will also be a requirement to relate it to existing examples and literature, as well as to other materials. These aspects will be handled in the reviewing process, and through the template for submissions
